What’s your favourite Christmas tradition?
‘Tis the season to be jolly! Ho-ho-ho….
While Christmas customs vary widely around the world, we all share many familiar traditions, like family gatherings and exchanging presents. As the Christmas season approaches, we asked the AXA Marthon team to share some of their festive family customs.
For Florent Morin, Agent Général of AXA Marthon, the Christmas tree is the most important tradition for his family:
“For me, it’s decorating the Christmas tree with my wife and children. Even though they’re grown up, it’s a precious moment that continues to create wonderful memories. It’s also the start of that magical period when we wait for Father Christmas to come, a time that always retains its charm.”
Opening presents on Christmas Eve is customary in France, the time when French families gather together for a special meal. As Virginie says, “My Christmas tradition is a family meal at my mum’s on the evening of the 24th, with a ban on opening presents before midnight! 😉 It’s a real family moment filled with happiness.”
Karine’s vote also centres on the Christmas tree: “Our Christmas tradition is to go with my children to choose the tree and then decorate it together.”
Thank you all… Joyeux Noël et bonnes fêtes!
