Classic car rallies continue to have a wide appeal, and it’s easy to see why.

Owners of classic cars love to meet other enthusiasts to share their knowledge and passion for their vehicles; and attending a classic car event is fun for others too. These types of rallies enable us to appreciate cars from different eras and origins, from pre-war vehicles like the Bugatti Type 57, the Citroën 2 CV to iconic 60s sports cars like the Jaguar E-Type, and even the powerful American cars of the 70s such as the Ford Mustang.

Summer is of course fast approaching, so we’ve decided to share with you some of the best classic car rallies to go along to.

§  Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or – 6-8 June 2025: Held in Dijon, the race is the oldest historic racing event in France. 300 classic cars will navigate the short 3,800 metre Dijon-Prenois circuit including a blind corner, a hairpin and other challenges!

§  Peking to Paris – 22 June 2025: Welcome the return of 100+ classic cars which will arrive in the Place Vendôme Paris at the end of an arduous 36-day, 15,000km trip from China. The journey traverses Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia before crossing to Europe for the finishing stages.

§  Les Chapeau de Roues – 28/29 June 2025: This year, the race in the vineyards of Saint Emillion is celebrating several major milestones: 70 years of both the Alpine and the Citroën DS, plus half a century of the BMW 3 Series.

§  Le Mans Classic – 4 /6 July 2025: It’s the ultimate historic racing car event, rivalling even the Goodwood Revival! The race weekend welcomes over 230,000 visitors, 8,000 club cars and 700 racing cars. A must-see for classic car aficionados.

§  Les Circuits des Remparts – 19/21 September 2025: We’ve saved the best to last… the ever- popular race in Angoulême. The race is a unique and historic motor racing event, where classic and vintage cars race through the narrow, winding streets of the city, framed by its ancient ramparts.

These are only a few examples! Throughout France this summer, there are hundreds of smaller and local classic car rallies for you to see.
