In February, Karine celebrated a very special anniversary when she completed 25 years of service to AXA Marthon.

Karine started her career with the Angoulême agency working for another agent, however in January 2000 she was transferred to Marthon – and has been with us ever since!

Today, Karine largely deals with claims – and her most significant memory came back in December 2005 just after David Atkins took over the reins of the AXA Marthon agency as Agent Général. Karine said:

“Two days after David arrived a client had a devastating fire which destroyed all of his home. It was awful. The house was a complete mess and it was a lot of work to help the client sort out the situation. Fortunately the clients were quickly rehomed and the house was rebuilt as new.”

Karine added:

“I really enjoy working at the agency, it’s a friendly team and like a family! We work very well as a team and the clients are warm and friendly too – and helping clients who have claims or any queries is a critical part of my job.

“The claims handling process can of course be a long one! Despite the complexities we encounter from time-to-time, it’s also interesting and very satisfying. I like the fact I can use my knowledge acquired over all these years to help people and settle their insurance claims successfully.”

David Atkins said:
